Eligible Talk2Me hardware purchased directly from Talk2Me is covered by a limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for 365 days from the product’s delivery date.
This warranty applies to qualifying physical hardware. It does not guarantee uninterrupted cellular coverage, internet connectivity, platform availability, battery longevity, or compatibility with unauthorized accessories, software, SIM cards, repairs, or modifications.
A reported problem is not automatically a warranty defect. Talk2Me may require troubleshooting, photographs, videos, service information, proof of purchase, or a physical inspection before determining whether the claim qualifies.

What the Limited Warranty May Cover
The warranty may cover a verified manufacturing defect affecting the normal operation of eligible hardware, including certain failures involving:
- Internal electronic components
- Factory-installed buttons or controls
- Charging hardware
- Speakers or microphones
- Displays
- Battery connections
- SIM-card readers
- Factory-installed antennas or connectors
- Other components that fail because of a manufacturing defect
Coverage depends on the product, purchase record, condition, cause of failure, available documentation, and inspection results.
Warranty Period
The limited warranty lasts for:
365 days from the product’s confirmed delivery date
The delivery date may be confirmed through:
- Carrier tracking
- Talk2Me order records
- Delivery confirmation
- Other available purchase documentation
A repaired or replacement product does not automatically begin a new one-year warranty period unless Talk2Me expressly confirms otherwise.
What the Warranty Does Not Cover
The limited warranty does not cover damage or failure caused by:
- Dropping, crushing, impact, or physical abuse
- Cracked screens or housings
- Bent or broken connectors
- Liquid, moisture, corrosion, or environmental exposure
- Fire, excessive heat, or improper storage
- Unauthorized disassembly or repairs
- Hardware modifications
- Rooting or modifying the operating system
- Unauthorized software or firmware changes
- Improper programming or configuration
- Unsupported chargers, cables, batteries, antennas, or accessories
- Incorrect voltage or other electrical damage
- Improper SIM installation or damage to the SIM slot
- Normal cosmetic wear
- Normal reduction in battery capacity over time
- Loss, theft, or misplacement
- Accidents, misuse, or neglect
- Failure to follow product instructions or safety warnings
Damage occurring while equipment is shipped to Talk2Me may also be excluded when the product was not packaged securely.
Physical damage does not become a manufacturing defect because it occurs during the warranty period. Eligibility depends on the cause of the failure, not only the product’s age.
Cellular Coverage and Third-Party Services
The limited hardware warranty does not guarantee:
- Cellular coverage in every location
- Service from a particular cellular carrier
- Wi-Fi availability
- Internet performance
- International or roaming availability
- Continued operation of a third-party network or provider
- Compatibility with every third-party SIM or cellular plan
- Access to every Talk2Me platform, group, channel, node, or linked system
A radio may be functioning properly even when cellular coverage, SIM service, Wi-Fi, internet access, or a third-party provider is temporarily unavailable.
SIM and Platform Issues
A connection problem is not necessarily a hardware defect.
Before approving a hardware warranty claim, Talk2Me may review:
- SIM activation and renewal status
- Cellular coverage
- APN configuration
- Selected Talk2Me network or platform
- Selected group or channel
- Radio account status
- Private-network assignment
- PRS, CRS, or HamLink access when applicable
- Username and IMEI information
- Whether the problem occurs through both cellular data and supported Wi-Fi
SIM subscriptions, platform access, digital services, and cellular-provider issues are handled separately from the hardware warranty.
Batteries and Normal Wear
Rechargeable batteries naturally lose capacity as they age and are used. Normal battery-capacity reduction is not considered a manufacturing defect.
A battery may qualify for warranty review when it shows signs of an abnormal defect during the applicable warranty period, such as:
- Failure to charge with approved equipment
- Failure to power the radio
- Physical swelling not caused by misuse
- Abnormal overheating
- A confirmed internal defect
Stop using a swollen, leaking, damaged, or unusually hot battery immediately. Disconnect it from charging when safe, keep it away from flammable materials, and contact Talk2Me Support. Do not puncture, crush, disassemble, or continue charging it.
Accessories
Accessories supplied with or purchased for a Talk2Me radio may be reviewed separately from the main radio.
Examples include:
- Charging cables
- Power adapters
- Docking stations
- Batteries
- Belt clips
- Earpieces
- Hand microphones
- Vehicle power cables
- Antennas
Coverage depends on the accessory, purchase record, condition, cause of failure, and applicable warranty terms.
Unauthorized or incompatible accessories may damage the radio and may result in denial of a related warranty claim.
Software, Firmware, and Configuration
The warranty does not cover problems caused by unauthorized:
- Software installation
- Firmware modification or reflashing
- Rooting
- Developer-setting changes
- Hidden system-menu changes
- APN modifications
- Factory resets
- Platform-account changes
- Programming or configuration changes
Do not factory-reset, root, reflash, open, or modify a Talk2Me radio unless Talk2Me Support provides specific instructions. These actions may remove required settings and affect warranty eligibility.
Products Purchased Through TikTok Shop
Products purchased through TikTok Shop may be subject to TikTok Shop’s required return, replacement, and claim procedures.
Keep:
- TikTok Shop order number
- Seller information
- Delivery confirmation
- Purchase receipt
- Clear photographs of the product
- Original packaging and included accessories
Talk2Me may ask the customer to begin or continue the request through TikTok Shop when required by that marketplace.
A marketplace return period and a limited hardware-warranty review are separate processes. Eligibility may depend on the purchase source, marketplace requirements, and applicable warranty terms.
Proof of Purchase
Talk2Me may require proof that the product was purchased from Talk2Me or another authorized source.
Acceptable documentation may include:
- Talk2Me order number
- Invoice
- Receipt
- TikTok Shop order number
- Delivery confirmation
- Other documentation identifying the purchaser and product
Products without verifiable purchase information may not qualify for warranty service.
Before Submitting a Warranty Claim
Complete basic troubleshooting when safe to do so:
- Charge the radio using the approved charger or docking station.
- Restart the radio.
- Confirm that the battery is installed securely.
- Confirm whether the problem occurs in more than one location.
- Verify that cellular data or supported Wi-Fi is available.
- Confirm that the correct Talk2Me network or platform and group are selected.
- Disconnect and reconnect external accessories.
- Test without the earpiece or hand microphone when appropriate.
- Record any error message.
- Take clear photographs or a short video showing the problem.
Do not remove the SIM, change the APN, open the radio, or perform a factory reset unless Talk2Me Support instructs you to do so.
Information Required for Warranty Review
Provide:
- Customer name
- Order number
- Purchase location
- Delivery date
- Radio or accessory model
- Radio IMEI
- Current username
- Description of the suspected defect
- Date the problem began
- Whether the product ever worked correctly
- Troubleshooting already completed
- Clear photographs or videos
- Photographs of any physical damage
- SIM ICCID when connectivity is involved
- Shipping address and contact information
A complete request can reduce processing delays.
Initial Troubleshooting and Remote Review
Talk2Me may attempt to resolve the issue before requiring the product to be returned.
Remote review may include:
- Confirming account status
- Checking the radio IMEI
- Reviewing SIM service
- Verifying platform assignments
- Requesting photographs or videos
- Providing approved troubleshooting steps
- Testing another approved battery, charger, or accessory
- Reviewing error messages
Do not ship a product until Talk2Me provides return authorization and shipping instructions. Unapproved shipments may be delayed, refused, misidentified, or returned at the sender’s expense.
Shipping the Product to Talk2Me
For a warranty evaluation, the customer is generally responsible for the initial cost of shipping the product to Talk2Me.
The product should be:
- Powered off
- Packaged securely
- Protected from impact and moisture
- Shipped with tracking
- Clearly associated with the support ticket or authorization number
- Sent only to the address provided by Talk2Me Support
Do not send unrelated accessories unless requested.
Talk2Me is not responsible for damage caused by inadequate packaging or for packages sent without authorization.
Inspection
After receiving the product, Talk2Me may inspect:
- Physical condition
- Liquid or corrosion evidence
- Connectors and ports
- Battery and charging components
- SIM slot
- Antenna connections
- Internal hardware
- Software or firmware condition
- Signs of unauthorized repair or modification
- Whether the reported issue can be reproduced
The inspection result determines whether the claim qualifies for warranty service.
Approved Warranty Claims
When Talk2Me confirms a covered manufacturing defect, Talk2Me may choose to:
- Repair the product
- Replace the product
- Replace a defective component or accessory
- Provide another appropriate warranty remedy
The replacement may be the same model or a functionally comparable model when the original product is unavailable.
Talk2Me pays the cost of shipping an approved repaired or replacement product back to the customer.
Replacement configuration, usernames, network assignments, platform access, or SIM service may require additional processing before the replacement radio is ready for use.
Denied Warranty Claims
A claim may be denied when inspection shows:
- Accidental or physical damage
- Liquid or corrosion damage
- Unauthorized modification
- Improper repair
- Unsupported software or firmware changes
- Electrical damage from improper equipment
- Normal wear
- No reproducible hardware defect
- A SIM, coverage, platform, account, or third-party service issue rather than hardware failure
- Damage or failure outside the warranty period
- Missing or unverifiable proof of purchase
When a claim is denied, Talk2Me will explain the available next steps.
When the customer wants the product returned after a denied claim, the customer is responsible for the return-shipping cost.
Talk2Me may provide a paid repair or replacement option when available.
Warranty Repair Versus Return
A warranty claim addresses a qualifying manufacturing defect.
A return request involves sending back an otherwise eligible product under the applicable return policy.
The following may affect which process applies:
- Delivery date
- Product condition
- Whether the product is defective
- Whether the product was opened or used
- Purchase location
- Marketplace requirements
- Whether the customer requests repair, replacement, or refund
Submitting a warranty claim does not automatically create a return or refund request.
Replacement Equipment and Account Setup
A replacement radio may require Talk2Me to update:
- Radio IMEI
- Username
- Private-network assignment
- Group access
- PRS, CRS, or HamLink access when applicable
- Applicable platform accounts or licenses
- SIM assignment
- Cellular activation
Do not move the SIM from the original radio unless Talk2Me Support instructs you to do so.
Keep the original radio, SIM, battery, accessories, and packaging until Talk2Me confirms what must be returned.
Submitting a Warranty Claim
Use the Warranty, Returns & Repairs support form.
Select the option that most closely matches the issue, such as:

- Accessory failure
- Product arrived damaged

Include all requested product, purchase, condition, and defect information.
Do not include passwords, complete payment-card numbers, card security codes, Wi-Fi credentials, or unnecessary sensitive information.
