Use these instructions to renew qualifying Talk2Me Fusion SIM cellular service used in a Talk2Me radio.
Before renewing
Confirm that you are renewing the correct SIM. Have the radio’s IMEI, SIM ICCID, username, and customer information available. Do not remove or move the SIM card just to locate its number.
| Online renewal | Complete the renewal through the Fusion SIM renewal page. |
| Support request | Submit SIM & Service Support when you need help identifying the SIM, completing payment, or restoring service. |
| Telephone renewal help | Call Talk2Me Customer Support at 833-482-6762 during support hours. |

Other renewal options
You may also:
- Submit a SIM & Service Support request.
- Call Talk2Me Customer Support at 833-482-6762.
- Use another authorized Talk2Me renewal page when one is provided for your account.
Information You May Need
Have the following available before beginning:
- Radio model
- Radio IMEI
- Current radio username
- SIM ICCID or SIM number
- Customer name
- Email address
- Telephone number
- Previous renewal confirmation or order number, when applicable
Find the radio IMEI
Depending on the radio model and software version, the IMEI may appear under:
- Menu → Settings → IMEI Information
- Menu → Settings → Service Information
- Menu → About
- The radio label, product packaging, or Talk2Me order record
Find the SIM ICCID
On supported models, open:
Menu → Settings → Service Information
The screen may display the SIM operator, active SIM slot, ICCID, user ID, group, and other service details.
| IMEI | Identifies the radio hardware. |
| ICCID | Identifies the installed cellular SIM and helps determine which service account should be renewed. |
Do not publicly post the complete IMEI or ICCID.
Do not remove the SIM card
Talk2Me radios normally ship with the SIM already installed. Do not remove, replace, move, cut, resize, or change the SIM slot unless Talk2Me Support instructs you to do so.
Unnecessary SIM removal may cause:
- Damage to the SIM or SIM slot
- Incorrect SIM placement
- Use of the wrong slot
- Loss of cellular connectivity
- Delays identifying the correct service account
What Happens When SIM Service Expires?
When cellular SIM service expires or is suspended, the radio may:
- Show No Service, Offline, or Searching Network
- Fail to connect to PRS, CRS when assigned, HamLink, or a private network through cellular data
- Stop sending or receiving PoC communications through cellular service
- Continue showing that a SIM is physically installed while providing no usable data connection
A compatible radio may still connect through properly configured Wi-Fi while cellular service is unavailable, provided the exact model supports Wi-Fi and its Talk2Me platform account remains active.
Hardware and cellular service are separate. Renewing a SIM restores the cellular-data plan; it does not repair unrelated coverage, antenna, radio, platform, username, or group problems.
After Completing the Renewal
- Confirm that the payment was successful.
- Save the order or renewal confirmation.
- Allow the service provider time to process the renewal.
- Turn the radio completely off.
- Wait approximately 15 seconds.
- Turn the radio back on.
- Allow up to approximately two minutes for cellular registration and Talk2Me platform connection.
- Confirm that signal bars or a carrier indicator appear.
- Confirm the expected username, Talk2Me platform, and group.
- Complete a short radio check.
Do not repeatedly restart the radio while the renewal is still processing.
Renewal Completed but the Radio Is Still Offline
- Confirm that the renewal was applied to the correct SIM ICCID.
- Review the receipt for the customer and SIM information used.
- Confirm that the payment completed successfully.
- Wait additional processing time when the renewal was completed recently.
- Restart the radio once.
- Move outdoors or to an area with known cellular coverage.
- Allow up to approximately two minutes for reconnection.
- Confirm the intended Talk2Me platform or network when selectable.
- Confirm the intended group.
- Check whether other Talk2Me radios have cellular service in the same location.
- Record the exact message shown on the display.
Signal bars appear but the radio remains Offline
Signal bars do not prove that the renewed SIM has active cellular data or that the Talk2Me platform is connected. The issue may involve:
- Renewal still processing
- Renewal applied to a different SIM
- SIM account still suspended
- Cellular-data or carrier problem
- Incorrect Talk2Me network or group
- Platform-account or configuration problem
- Antenna or coverage problem
Do not change APN settings
Do not change the APN name, username, password, authentication type, carrier selection, network type, or related cellular settings unless Talk2Me Support provides exact instructions.
Do not factory-reset the radio
A factory reset may remove or disrupt cellular configuration, Talk2Me software, username, platform assignments, groups, and required background services. It should not be used as a general renewal or connection troubleshooting step.
