8. Confirm that the network does not require a browser sign-in page.

Some public, hotel, business, school, hospital, or government networks may block the connection required by the radio.

Do not send your Wi-Fi password to Talk2Me Support.

Use the model-specific instructions for the radio when available.

The Standard Plus uses a specific button-based process to enter passwords, save the network, and select Connect. Its Wi-Fi guide also explains “Target AP not found” and “Connection Fail” messages. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}

Wi-Fi Shows Target AP Not Found

This generally means the saved access point cannot currently be located.

Check:

• The radio is within range

• The router is powered on

• The correct Wi-Fi network was selected

Contact Talk2Me when the required groups remain unavailable.

A Required Group Is Missing

Provide:

• Radio IMEI

• Username

• Selected network

• Missing group name

• Private-network name

• Whether other radios can see the group

• Whether the group was recently created

• Platform Manager screenshot, when applicable

Do not create duplicate groups merely because one radio cannot see an existing group.

Wrong Groups Appear

The radio may be:

• On the wrong Talk2Me network

• Assigned to the wrong private network

• Using the wrong platform account

• Displaying an outdated configuration

• Associated with a previous customer or radio assignment

Confirm the selected network and username.

7. Compare whether the problem occurs in both directions.

Transmission Is Cutting Off the First Word

PoC communication may have a brief connection delay.

To prevent the beginning of a message from being cut off:

1. Press and hold PTT.

2. Wait a brief moment.

3. Begin speaking.

4. Release PTT when finished.

Do not tap the PTT button quickly.

Transmission Has a Long Delay

Delay may increase because of:

• Weak cellular signal

• Poor Wi-Fi

• Network congestion

• Internet-routing delays

• Carrier switching

• Radio account synchronization

• Platform service conditions

Test:

• Another physical location

• Cellular instead of Wi-Fi

• Wi-Fi instead of cellular

• Another radio on the same group

• Another group on the same network

Provide the approximate delay and whether it affects every radio.

Radio Creates Loud Feedback

Feedback commonly occurs when two radios on the same group are close together.

To test properly:

1. Separate the radios.

2. Reduce the volume.

3. Point the speakers away from each other.

4. Transmit from only one radio at a time.

5. Release PTT before the other person responds.

Feedback between nearby radios does not necessarily indicate a defect.

PTT Button Feels Stuck or Does Not Respond

Do not spray cleaner into the button or open the radio.

Check:

• Protective case position

• Dirt around the button

• Physical damage

• Whether an accessory PTT is connected

• Whether the radio shows a transmit indicator

• Whether the problem started after a drop or liquid exposure

Power the radio off and inspect the exterior.

Use a soft, dry cloth around the button.

Do not force the control.

Submit a warranty or repair request when physical service is needed.

Bluetooth Device Will Not Pair

For supported radios:

1. Turn Bluetooth on.

2. Place the accessory in pairing mode.

3. Keep the accessory close to the radio.

4. Scan for available devices.

The 26 Rescue Mobile Base uses a specific connection sequence involving the radio cable, T-DY01 component, T-shaped DC power cable, and the appropriate vehicle or indoor power source. :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4}

Do not connect the radio to an unknown power supply.

Use a qualified installer when vehicle wiring is involved.

Mobile Radio Has Power but No Cellular Connection

Confirm:

1. The 4G antenna is connected to the labeled 4G port.

2. The antenna cable is not damaged.

3. The antenna is placed appropriately.

4. Cellular service is active.

5. The radio has been allowed time to connect.

6. The radio is tested in another location.

Do not attach the UHF/VHF antenna to the 4G port.

The 26 Rescue Mobile Base has separate 4G, optional GPS, and UHF/VHF antenna connections. :contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}

Mobile Radio Has Poor UHF/VHF Performance

Confirm:

• Correct UHF/VHF antenna is installed

• Antenna supports the programmed frequency range

• BNC connection is secure

• Antenna cable is undamaged

• Antenna has an appropriate mounting location

• Frequencies are correctly and lawfully programmed

• Required license and repeater authorization are in place

Do not transmit without a proper antenna.

PoC and UHF/VHF are separate systems.

A working cellular connection does not confirm that the UHF/VHF side is properly configured.

GPS Is Not Updating

GPS availability depends on the radio model, service, account configuration, antenna, and environment.

Try:

• Moving outdoors

• Allowing time for satellite acquisition

• Confirming the GPS antenna is connected when required

• Confirming the radio has a clear view of the sky

• Restarting the radio once

• Confirming the GPS feature is included and active

Indoor buildings, garages, metal structures, and antenna placement may reduce GPS reception.

The presence of a GPS menu does not necessarily mean the feature is activated.

Username Is Incorrect

Do not factory-reset the radio.

Provide:

• Current username shown

• Correct requested username

• Radio IMEI

• Selected platform

• Private-network name

• Order number

• Whether the radio is new, replaced, sold, or transferred

A radio may have different usernames on different Talk2Me platforms.
