Repeater Work Mode links the selected PoC group and the active analog VFO in both directions. Received analog audio is sent into PoC, and received PoC audio is transmitted on the active analog frequency.

Required permission and monitoring
Read before enabling Repeater mode
Use only with proper licensing and permission. You are responsible for all RF audio repeated into PoC, including third-party transmissions. Do not link repeaters, nodes or talkgroups without explicit owner approval. A licensed control operator must monitor the link and be able to shut it down at all times. Improper linking may result in suspension of PoC access. NOAA channels are receive-only.
Start and stop the link
- Select the intended PoC group and active analog VFO. Verify the analog frequency, transmit settings and permissions on both sides.
- Open Green > Work Mode, select Repeater and confirm with Green.
- Monitor both sides and verify the audio levels using an authorized radio check.
- To stop repeating, open Work Mode and select POC, Analog or Mix.
Local PTT remains available. Top PTT is PoC; middle/bottom analog behavior follows Settings > Analog PTT 2.
Set repeated audio and local speaker volume
| Control | Behavior in Repeater mode |
|---|---|
| Settings > Repeat Volume > POC Volume / Analog Volume | Set repeated-transmission audio levels in the two paths. These levels remain fixed regardless of the power/volume knob. POC Volume offers levels 1–9; Analog Volume has its separate menu. |
| Settings > Repeat Sound: Off | Silences audio on the radio while repeating continues. |
| Settings > Repeat Sound: On | Plays transmissions through the radio speaker. The knob controls local listening volume. |
| Power/volume knob | With Repeat Sound On, adjusts the local speaker only; it does not change repeated-transmission levels. |
| Settings > RX Priority | Affects local listening only, not the repeated audio levels. |
Common repeater questions
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Why is the radio silent while others hear the link? | Check Repeat Sound, MUTE and connected accessories. Repeat Sound Off can silence the local speaker while the link keeps working. |
| Why does turning the knob not change audio on the far end? | Use Repeat Volume > POC Volume / Analog Volume for the repeated audio paths. |
| How do I completely stop the link? | Change Work Mode to POC, Analog or Mix. Turning down the speaker or switching Repeat Sound Off does not stop repeating. |
