Use these settings for the Talk2Me custom 26 Rescue Handheld firmware. Press Green to confirm a choice; a check mark identifies the saved selection, while a highlight may only show the cursor.

Programmable keys and shipping assignments
Open Green > Settings > 5 Programmable Key. P1 is Left, P2 is Right, and SK1 is the bottom PTT when Analog PTT 2 is Off. Each key has Short and Long entries.
| Key | Short press at shipment | Long press at shipment |
|---|---|---|
| SK1 | None / NULL | None / NULL |
| P1 / Left | Group | None / NULL |
| P2 / Right | Group Members | None / NULL |
Choose the key and Short or Long entry, select an action and confirm with Green. Available actions: NULL, Battery Level, Group Members, SOS, MUTE, Quick Call, Bakelight, Group, Monitor, SIM Change and Auto Freq Detect. Bakelight is the firmware label. SIM Change is not operational on this single-SIM radio and should remain unassigned. Group Members shows current members in a private network.
MUTE, Monitor and receive priority
MUTE toggles all audio off/on; a speaker with an X indicates mute. Use the same assigned action again to unmute. Monitor toggles open squelch on the active VFO; use it again to return to normal squelch.
| RX Priority choice | Local listening behavior |
|---|---|
| POC Priority | Gives PoC audio priority. |
| Analog Priority | Gives analog audio priority. |
| Both | Keeps the source already receiving; a second source does not interrupt it. |
Analog PTT 2 On assigns middle PTT to A and bottom PTT to B. Off assigns middle PTT to the active VFO and bottom PTT to SK1.
GPS, SOS and Radio Info
GPS/SOS is an optional paid service. Position Info shows GPS coordinates when purchased and activated. SOS operates only on an enabled network, typically a private network.
- Assign SOS to a programmable Short or Long action.
- On an SOS-enabled network, use that assigned action. Everyone on the selected channel receives the SOS alert tone.
- To stop SOS, use the power knob to turn the radio off and back on.
SOS does not dial 911
The alert is delivered to the selected channel. It does not automatically contact emergency dispatch.
Radio Info contains Account Info, Software/Module Version, IMEI1, IMEI2, ICCID and POC/Analog Version. Record requested values for Support without publicly posting complete identifiers.

| Setting | Options / guidance |
