The Talk2Me Private Network Platform Manager allows authorized administrators to view radios and user accounts associated with their private network.
Depending on the account permissions and enabled services, an administrator may be able to update a radio’s username, contact information, account status, supported voice settings, and internal notes.
Verify the radio by IMEI before making changes. A username can be changed or duplicated, but the IMEI uniquely identifies the physical radio account shown in Platform Manager.

Use the correct company account. Do not sign in with a radio username, IMEI, Support Center password, or another administrator’s credentials.
Information in the User List
Depending on the account permissions and platform configuration, the list may display:
- Radio username
- IMEI
- Company or private-network assignment
- Account type
- Service or access period
- Number of assigned groups
- Online status
- Last login or connection time
- Notes
- Available editing actions
Some values are informational, system-controlled, or managed by Talk2Me and may not be editable by the customer.
Search for a Radio User
User List may include search and filtering options. Depending on the account, you may be able to search by:
- Radio username
- IMEI
- Group
- Account type
- Online status
- Service status
- Another available identifier
When possible, search by IMEI because it uniquely identifies the physical radio.
When a username search returns no result
- Check for spelling differences.
- Search using only part of the username when supported.
- Search by IMEI.
- Confirm that the correct company account is open.
- Refresh User List.
Edit a Radio User
- Open My User.
- Select User List.
- Locate the radio or user you want to update.
- Verify the username and IMEI.
- Find the Operation column.
- Select Edit.
- Review the displayed account information.
- Update only the fields you are authorized to change.
- Select Update.
- Confirm that a successful update message appears.
- Select Return to the List.
- Confirm that the revised information appears in User List.
Do not edit several unrelated fields at once when the effect of a setting is unclear. Record the original value and contact Talk2Me before making a change that could interrupt service.
Radio Username
The username is the display name used to identify the radio to other users on the private network.
Use a username that is:
- Short enough to display clearly
- Easy for other users to recognize
- Unique within the private network
- Appropriate for the assigned person, vehicle, team, function, or location
Examples include:
- Dispatch
- Unit 01
- Farm Truck
- Security 2
- Warehouse
- John
- Maintenance
Avoid usernames that:
- Are nearly identical to another radio
- Contain unnecessary personal information
- Are difficult to understand
- Use unsupported symbols
- Are excessively long
- Impersonate another person, organization, or emergency service
The platform may restrict the number or type of characters permitted.
After changing a username
- Confirm that the update saved.
- Restart the affected radio.
- Allow up to approximately two minutes for reconnection.
- Confirm that the private network is selected.
- Verify the new username.
- Make a brief test transmission when appropriate.
IMEI
The IMEI uniquely identifies the physical radio.
The IMEI may appear on the Edit User page, but it normally should not be changed by the customer.
Do not substitute another radio’s IMEI or alter the identifier. Replacing, adding, transferring, or moving a radio may require Talk2Me to create or update the appropriate platform account.
Submit a Private Network Support request when:
- The displayed IMEI is incorrect.
- The radio is being replaced.
- A new radio needs to be added.
- A radio is moving between private networks.
- The required option is not available in Platform Manager.
Contact Number
The Contact Number field may associate a telephone or administrative contact with the radio user.
Enter only current information needed for network administration.
Do not enter:
- Passwords
- Payment-card or bank information
- Unrelated personal information
- Medical information
- Security codes
- Information not needed to administer the network
Changing a contact number does not activate telephone service or change the SIM plan.
Account Status
Depending on the account permissions, Edit User may allow the private-network user account to be enabled or suspended.
Suspending the account may prevent that radio user from accessing the assigned private network.
Before suspending a radio, confirm:
- The correct radio is selected.
- The IMEI matches the intended device.
- The radio is lost, stolen, no longer authorized, or otherwise requires suspension.
- The action will not interrupt active operations unexpectedly.
- Other administrators or supervisors have been informed when appropriate.
- Talk2Me should also review the SIM or other assigned platforms.
Do not suspend a radio merely because it temporarily appears Offline. First check signal, SIM service, power, the selected network, and group assignments.
Private-network suspension may not automatically disable cellular SIM service, another Talk2Me platform, supported telephone service, Wi-Fi, UHF/VHF functions, or the physical device.
Point-to-Point and Voice Settings
Point-to-Point Call
When supported and enabled, Point-to-Point Call may allow direct one-to-one communication between compatible users instead of communication through a group.
Availability depends on the account, private-network configuration, radio model, and user permissions.
Disable this setting only when required by the organization’s communication policy or network design.
Voice
The Voice setting controls whether the user account can use supported PoC voice communication.
Turning Voice off may prevent the radio from transmitting or receiving private-network PoC communications.
Do not disable Voice as a general troubleshooting step. Contact Talk2Me when a radio cannot transmit or receive and the purpose of the setting is unclear.
Other Platform Services
Edit User may display additional services or fields, such as:
- Company dispatcher
- GPS service
- Recording service
- SOS service
- Monitoring or geofence-related services
- Duplex service
- PTT service period
Some fields may be informational only, unavailable, or require activation and configuration by Talk2Me.
The presence of a setting does not mean the feature is included or active. Confirm the customer’s enabled services before relying on a dispatch, GPS, recording, monitoring, SOS, duplex, or related function.
Customers should review applicable laws, consent requirements, workplace policies, and organizational procedures before using any optional recording, monitoring, or location feature.
Adding or Editing Notes
Authorized administrators may add internal notes to a radio user.
Use notes for brief operational or administrative information, such as:
- Assigned employee or user
- Vehicle or location
- Department
- Replacement history
- Administrative instructions
- Reason an account was suspended
Update notes
- Open the user’s Edit page.
- Locate the Notes field or select Edit Notes when available.
- Enter or revise the information.
- Select Update.
- Return to User List.
- Confirm that the note was saved.
Do not place passwords, payment details, medical information, security codes, or unnecessary personal information in Notes.
Changes Do Not Appear on the Radio
- Confirm that Update completed successfully.
- Refresh Platform Manager.
- Turn the affected radio off.
- Wait approximately 15 seconds.
- Turn the radio back on.
- Allow several minutes for reconnection and synchronization.
- Confirm that the correct private network is selected.
- Review the username, group list, account status, and service settings again.
- Confirm that the radio has cellular data or supported Wi-Fi.
Some changes may require additional account configuration by Talk2Me.
Do not factory-reset the radio. A reset may remove Talk2Me applications, cellular settings, groups, usernames, or account information without applying the Platform Manager change.
Radio Is Missing From User List
A radio may be missing when:
- It has not been added to the private network.
- It is assigned to another company or network account.
- The wrong Platform Manager account was used.
- The radio is listed under a different username.
- Enrollment or configuration has not been completed.
- A recent change has not synchronized.
- The signed-in account lacks permission to view the radio.
- The radio was removed, transferred, or replaced.
- Search by IMEI.
- Search by the previous or expected username.
- Refresh User List.
- Confirm the company name shown in Platform Manager.
- Sign out and sign back in.
Do not create a duplicate user account as a workaround unless Talk2Me confirms that this is the correct action.
Review Before Removing, Suspending, or Reassigning
Removing, suspending, or reassigning a radio can interrupt communication and may affect:
- Group membership
- Private-network access
- Radio usernames
- Service assignments
- Dispatch or operational functions
- Platform licensing or account history
When the intended effect is unclear, contact Talk2Me before changing the account.
